‘84…What a well paced, enjoyable story… One of the best parts was your excellent depiction of the town; middle America where all of this could very possibly happen… (Yes, even the shameless little girls ; )… Mind sharing which town was the model? Even the extraneous personalities were well depicted… The Catholic school kid, the ex-Marine… All very real.

The town is a melding of a few places. I had relatives in Grand Rapids, MI and Shaker Heights OH we used to to visit which provided locations for this and some other stories. Then there was the place where I grew up which was around the Great Lakes area. The town is an amalgamation of many places in the region, Depicting life in those setting.

This will be it for the Summer of '84 tale. I am currently working on 3 stories and I can't put a timeline on them, I guess they get done when they get done. One is the story of four girls in Florida, the other is set in Nice, France and the other, in Ireland. I'm also dabbling with a few "Darkside" shorts.

Well, now I have communicated with two Mickys. I worked in rock radio, and yes, it was Dolenz. I have read all of your stuff, and I like your style of "a story told to me by a friend." I'm also glad you produced some new content. Many of the other writers have slacked off, and I get that. I am too busy to write a story these days.

Fantastic story. I loved how you told us how their lives worked out. It made the ending of the story be closure for me. I always like to know how everything works out before I am done a with book.
